Auburn Hills Rotary and Avondale Education Foundation have come together to put on a Charity Art Auction. The Charity Art Auction will be held on Thursday, November 8th from 4pm to 8pm at the Auburn Hills Campus of Oakland Community College, room G-240. The auction will feature works of art from local artists, as well as Avondale School District students.
Last I heard these two service organizations are seeking event sponsors and community artists to join them by “Learning Through Life’s Gifts” which is the theme for this year’s fundraiser.
There are several levels of sponsorship available and some openings for donations of art to the auction. You can contact Jeff Ragle, Facility Manager Oakland Community College-AH, 248-232-4514.
The funds raised from the art auction will be used to invest in both our global and local community’s future. Half of the proceeds will be directed to the Rotary International Foundation, where such global relief initiatives as offering clean water throughout the world are examined. The other half of the event’s proceeds will fund scholarships for graduating Avondale seniors through the Auburn Hills United College Access Network, sponsored by the Avondale Education Foundation.
The Avondale Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations and sponsorships are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. For more information about sponsorships or art donations, call the Avondale Education Foundation at 248-537-6000.
We hope to see you the night of the auction. You will be able to vote for your favorite art piece, so try something different and pull your favorite local artist.
