Is that a fire? Or just 47,000 lights?

Congratulations to Auburn Hills Firefighter Brent Waldrep for making the City of Auburn Hills home to the national winner of the Griswold challenge!

Recently, Brent shared with us that for the last 5 years or so he has decorated his house with Christmas lights.  In doing this, in 2010, he assisted the rainbow connection in Rochester, and collected donations that helped fulfill the special wishes of Michigan children with life-threatening medical conditions. His light display had over 47,000 lights which were choreographed to music.

In December, he was selected as 1 of the 20 finalist in the National Old Navy Griswold Challenge, and had a good chance of winning the grand prize. If that wasn’t exciting enough, a little while later he was announced the grand prize winner!

So during the next Christmas Holiday (which will be here before you know it by the way) take a drive by 3111 Paramount Lane to enjoy a choreographed light show and take pride in knowing that one of our own is the best at providing a light show worthy national recognition!
