Keep telling the story

Why, some may ask, do we spend so much time telling the Auburn Hills story? First, it’s a great story.

Second though, the story is out there in bits and pieces and is not as impressive until someone puts the puzzle together. I was reading  Crain’s Book of List for 2013 and this puzzle just keeps coming in to focus. Right off the bat, Auburn Hills is home to the 4th largest manufacture in the state. Then of the top 10 largest subsidiaries Auburn Hills is home to 3 of the 10.

In the next section of World Watch, Crain’s listed the world wide stories they did in 2012 and the tie into Michigan businesses. Of the 15 countries Crain’s did stories on, Auburn Hills was represented by companies in each country. The Countries that Crain’s stories were on were:

  • Argentina
  • Australia
  • France
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • Jordan
  • Qatar
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Mexico
  • Russia
  • South Africa
  • Spain
  • Portugal
  • Taiwan

This is just based on stories, but can you see why Auburn Hills is a great international address and is so recognized around the world as a great place to do business in the United States. Another list has 3 of the top 10 growing business located in Auburn Hills, in addition to a blog we did maybe a week or so ago about largest OEM Parts Suppliers (7 of the top 25).

Yet another list points to Auburn Hills as being home to 2 of the top 14 largest retail centers. Okay, I’ll stop, I can see your eyes glossing over. The point is there are so many angles that highlight our position in the world, who wouldn’t want to be here?

Hmmm…where is the list of communities with over 2,000 hotel rooms???
